COMMUTERS across London have had their evenings ruined by travel chaos across major lines and stations this evening.
London Euston and Marylebone are threatening hours of delays and the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines are down.
Signalling failures have caused extreme delays at London Euston and Marylebone resulting in passengers packed into sweltering and overcrowded carriages.
For those travelling by tube, the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines are suspended after a trespasser on the tracks.
Passengers have taken to twitter, begging for train bosses to turn the air conditioning on the overcrowded carriages.
The most recent tweet from London Euston read: "Power has been restored at Euston and signals are now working again. We're so sorry to passengers as significant disruption is expected while trains get back to normal."
A statement from National Rail said: "All lines are blocked at London Euston due to a fault with the signalling system at this station.
"This is causing major disruption and trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised."
Virgin Trains are advising passengers to ditch their plans and travel tomorrow instead.
MAJOR DISRUPTION
Tim Dunn wrote on twitter: "Due to signal failure, Euston is essentially shut. Only one train out to Northampton - @LNRailway - has been cancelled - the rush was epic.
"Advice given here is not to use @NetworkRail tonight, it will take ages to get this sorted."
They said: "We're currently expecting severe delays, alterations and cancellations to services in/out of London Euston. This is due to a fault with the signaling system causing all lines to be blocked at Euston until further notice. We'd advise you to travel tomorrow where possible."
The issues are affecting overground services, with trains unable to run between Kilburn Hugh Road and London Euston.
British Transport Police are on hand to help.
It's not just Euston in lockdown this evening, trains from Marylebone station have been disrupted.
The underground is also having issues this evening as trains the jubilee line has come to a standstill.
Metropolitan and Jubilee line are suspended due to a trespasser.
