Following a botched plastic surgey procedure, Tameka Foster appears to be on the road to recovery.

But an inside look at the path taken by Usher’s wife, courtesy of People Magazine, reveals an irresponsible doctor and a woman that desperately wanted to lose her excess baby weight.

Here’s what we know about the near-medical tragedy:

“When an attack like this happens, the doctors put the patient to sleep… and make sure that everything is okay and that there has not been any damage. This is the protocol every time and this is what was done.”

Hopefully, Tameka Foster’s experience can serve as a lesson to others. Follow the jump to read more about what happened.

While many cosmetic surgeons believe no abdominal procedure ought to take place within eight weeks of child birth, Dasptry said Foster was given a clean bill of health.

“In plastic surgery all over the world, there is no rule that says a woman can’t have plastic surgery performed two months after childbirth,” said Dasptry.

Fair enough. But should responsible doctors require a rule in order to use common sense?
