Rachel McAdams Drinking: Sad Over Ryan Gosling Baby News?

It’s been 10 years since Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling stole our hearts in The Notebook, but Rachel and Ryan’s book has closed — for good.

Ryan and girlfriend Eva Mendes are set to welcome their first child soon and now Rachel is trying to come to terms with the news. She was spotted in Cannes, France recently drinking, Page Six reports.

The actress seemed to be “drowning her sorrows with martinis” at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, the outlet claims.

This must be hard news for Rachel to take. Rachel and Ryan — McGosling — dated for several years and many people believed they were made for each other. However, it just wasn’t meant to be.

Upon learning the news of Ryan and Eva’s baby joy, Rachel didn’t take it so well. “[Rachel]’s devastated,” a source close to the actress told OK magazine.

Ryan Gosling: Will He Retire From Acting After Baby?

In the worst news in possibly all of Hollywood, Ryan could retire from acting after he welcomes his new baby. (No!)

“I’ll make movies until I make babies,” Ryan said during a 2011 interview, reports the Us Weekly. “I have no idea when the handover will happen.”

Wait, what? No, this cannot be true. He was probably just thinking he would be one of those George Clooney types who wouldn’t get married until they were older. Is there a world where Ryan isn’t making movies? (We don’t think so.)

No matter what happens, we will always have The Notebook. No one can take that Ryan and Rachel goodness away from us.

HollywoodLifers, do you think Rachel is devastated over Ryan’s baby news? Do you think she thought there was a chance they would reunite? Are you watching The Notebook now? Let us know!
