SHOCKING footage of a mass street brawl believed to have involved dozens of people in Cardiff city centre has emerged.

The video shows a group of men throwing punches and grappling with each other as others fall to the floor and are trampled after the fight broke out on Saturday night.

Eyewitnesses said there were "police everywhere" during the incident outside Tiger Tiger nightclub in Greyfriars Road at around 11.30pm on Saturday, reports Wales Online.

South Wales Police said two people were reportedly assaulted during the incident, and one man was helping police with their inquiries.

The eyewitness told Wales Online: “I have no idea what was happening. When I came out of the Park Hotel, there were just police everywhere and a great big crowd, and I saw people being put into a van.

“There looked to be about 100 or so people and a lot of police officers. It looked like a scene of mayhem. You don’t often see that in the streets of Cardiff.
